Another Poem

Observational  poetry eludes me
instead I’m distracted
by the birds and the bees
the apple shaped bottom that passes
me
is easy to imagine covered in honey

I try to be funny but
instead come off sounding
like Howard Cosell
telling the nation John Lennon
has been shot
